Good game on the national feed last night, hope that Scuderi isn't out too long for you guys

Who knows the injury, but chances are that Scuderi will be out at least a few weeks.... Bortuzzo gets his shot at going from the press box to the top 4. Right now, he's the only other defensive defenseman besides Orpik. Even if he technically plays on the third pairing, he's gonna get a lot of PK time. It is a good audition form him to show if he can take a good chunk of Orpik's workload if they let him walk this summer.

I don't know why we even propose/debate line combinations with this team anymore, it is never completely healthy.

It's simple, the team isn't playing the full 60 minutes. Stupid turnovers and plays that lead directly to goals. I could understand if this happens on occasion, but this is the same poop that has been happening for the last year or 2

Ryan Miller will be a penguin by the trade deadline. There is not a chance that Mario will let Fluery blow it again for this team.

It happens to every single team every single year in an 82 game season.

Look at the Bruins last night, they lost to the struggling Devils after giving up 2 goals in regulation in the last minute.

The Blackhawks got soundly defeated last night.

The Red Wings lost to the Rangers last night.

That's just one night out of the year.

This isn't the NFL where you live and die by regular season games.

I agree with the premise that this is no where near the time to panic, but I also agree that it's a little disturbing to see the same problems year after year....especially from some of the same (very highly paid) players.

Ryan is right , the regular season is only an audition for the playoffs , they only need to get in. I'm not that worried at this point , it's still October after all. I am concerned about scuds, as long as it's a month or less he's out that would be ok(not great still) but I'm just hoping it's not worse.

Not every team is afforded that luxury but teams like the Blackhawks, Sharks, Bruins, and Penguins are.

Nope, but Bryz will sure look good in a pens jersey.

I'm not worried at all about this team, but I have been wanting the team to cut back on turnovers for sometime now.

a little dissapointed that the pens could;t take advantage of a 3 line team in toronto.

We don't have the assets to give up for him. Fleury is the least of our concerns right now.

Leafs have better depth than the Pens. The Leafs 4th line played a lot last night.

I did not see the game. Seems we have fallen into some bad defensive habits. Hopefully they can get it figured out.

They have the assets just not the cap room, won't happen hopefully Vokoun will be back and playing well to provide some insurance.

The Metropolitan division just got a lot more interesting with Vanek going to the Islanders and Moulson going to Buffalo

Not really ... can't afford to move our first really; have little at forward that can be moved that has value and you don't want to continue unloading D prospects because our D could be totally different in two years. I guess Despres, but really, nothing else you can afford to deal. Harrington? Nope. Pouliott? Nope.

The question is for how long it seems everyone expected/expects him to go to Minnesota after this season in which case this would be a gross overpayment. Moulson is no slouch 3 time 30 goal scorer.

Marginally. Paid quite the cost to gain in an area that wasn't a pressing need.

I'll have more on it tomorrow on the other site
